Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock ‘HATES’ being apart from her bandmates amid COVID-19 lockdown

Leigh-Anne Pinnock has admitted that she’s struggling to deal with the reality of not seeing her Little Mix bandmates in person, amid the coronavirus lockdown.

Like most of the UK’s residents, the Touch singers have been spending time in their respective homes, after Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered the measures in a bid to stop the spread of the potentially deadly virus.

And Leigh-Anne, 28, revealed on the Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill that the lockdown has meant she’s spent a record amount of time away from bandmates Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall.

Revealing that the stars have been relying on FaceTime to communicate, she told the host: ‘We’ve got our little chat going on which is, we always talk in that anyway.

‘We need to do one of those house party FaceTime things. I think we’ll do one of those soon. It’s just strange, I miss them so much even like talking to you now, I’m like where are they?… I miss their faces man.’

Leigh-Anne, who is in a relationship with Watford striker Andre Gray, went on to reveal that when the group are back together, they’ll have a brand new song to entertain fans with – and it’s already one of her favourites.

She said: ‘Obviously there’s little teasers out there. We’ve gone down that ’80s kind of vibe, which is amazing. It’s so uplifting, I guarantee you’ll put it on and you’ll just smile and I think that’s what we all need right now, bit of positivity.

‘I can’t not dance when it comes on, it gives me the best feeling. And I’m going to say it, this is probably one of my favourite Little Mix songs ever… Bold statement right there. I love it so much!’

Meanwhile, her bandmate Perrie has revealed that she’s struggling to satisfy her boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s hunger pangs as the pair isolate together.

Missing you: ‘We need to do one of those house party FaceTime things,’ she said of her bandmates. ‘I think we’ll do one of those soon. It’s just strange… I miss their faces man’

The star, 26, moved in with her Liverpool FC footballer beau last year, and admits that since they’ve have gone into lockdown she’s struggling to satisfy his appetite.

She told Capital Breakfast’s Roman Kemp: ‘I literally keep saying to people, when they’re like “how is Alex” I’m like, he’s good, but one, try rationing with an athlete in your house. It’s impossible, he’s never full. He’s like a pit that doesn’t fill up.

‘He’s eaten literally everything in the kitchen, I’ve done nothing but cook and clean, I feel like a little housewifey, and he has a funny every half hour every day.

‘Because he’s so energetic everyday training he’ll do like his training sessions and then he’ll just have a funny half hour and I’m just like “what are you doing now?”‘

Rise to fame: The stars enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame after winning The X Factor back in 2011

The Woman Like Me hitmaker admitted that she’d never cooked for former Arsenal player Alex before they went into isolation – and she sometimes gets ’embarrassed’ that her culinary skills are not up to the standards she’s become accustomed to.

She said: ‘I’ve never cooked for him before either because he usually has a chef with the Liverpool team. It’s alright for some.

‘So when I cook for him I get embarrassed, because I’m like, if it’s c**p or I give him food poisoning, then what? Let’s not panic but obviously being trapped in the house I had to cook for him everyday.’

While the songstress has been enjoying her time with her beau, she has admitted that not being able to see her beloved mother Debbie has been a struggle.

‘I miss my mam a lot, I’m a mummy’s girl,’ admitted the star. ‘Like, whenever I’m away or if I’m tired or if I don’t feel well, I’m like “I just want my mum”.

Funny: Meanwhile, Perrie Edwards has revealed that she’s struggling to satisfy her boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s constant hunger pangs as the pair self-isolate together

‘I’m 26 but I’m like a six-year-old so it’s really hard not being able to see her because she’s high risk, because she’s got slow pneumonia, so she’s got water on the lungs…

‘She has to be extra careful so I’m trying to stay away from her but I do miss like seeing everyone, it feels a bit bizarre.

‘But luckily I’m isolating with Alex and with Ellie, Ellie is my best friend, cousin, PA, everything wrapped into one so we’ve got each other so that’s good.

‘I just keep FaceTiming everyone, “what are you up to?” and they’re like “it’s been five minutes, not a lot!”

Tune into the Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill, Mondays – Thursdays from 7pm – 10pm.
