Angelina Jolie's son Maddox has had to pause his overseas studies and return to the USA amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The 18-year-old biochemistry student, who is a freshman at the Yonsei University in South Korea, has been forced to return to his family home in America as the education establishment cancelled the semester, according to People Magazine.

Maddox, who enrolled at the prestigious university in October 2019, is staying with his movie star mum and his five siblings – Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, and eleven-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

The publication added that the conscientious student is his downtime focusing on his Korean and Russian studies.

Angelina adopted Maddox before she met ex-husband Brad Pitt and as a couple they went on to adopt two more children, as well as having three biological kids.
